Portable 20 ton Air Handlers provide temporary Heat

Temporary heat in Manhattan has its’ own unique challenges.  Diesel fuel has Fire Marshall implications, electric heat can be a problem since often power is not available in the quantities required and may be the wrong voltage, natural gas has pressure issues and exhaust fumes are a consideration.

Spring is a time for new beginnings, but for a New York law school, the balmy weather brought crisis to their door. Heading into the summer class season, the prestigious school found themselves without a chiller system. School officials contacted On Site Energy for help. The Obstacles

Initially, the school thought they would require a short-term rental chiller while repairs were in process. After evaluation of the damaged system, the problems grew. The New York law school would need a temporary cooling rental all summer until a replacement unit was ready.

Keep People Happy with Chiller and Heater Rentals

shelter rentalBack in August I was fortunate enough to win a contest to be an extra in a music video for one of my favorite bands. It was quite an experience, but it could have been even better if the crew was better prepared. It was not only a warm evening as we sat outside for several hours, it was well over 100° inside a warehouse where the video was actually shot. I watched as an air conditioner unit was brought into the set and then less than an hour later brought back out.

Attempting to rock out to a song when you feel like you’re going to pass out from the heat just isn’t safe. Needless to say, there were hot, unhappy fans doing their best to give the band their all. Keep Traffic Flowing with Arrow Boards

And we all know that means major delays because no one knows how to merge into another lane or people feel the need to rubberneck. It can be a real nuisance but construction is necessary so you don’t hit a giant pothole. At least warning signs can let you prepare ahead of time and, ideally, move traffic through the area a little bit quicker.

Although we’ve talked a lot about shelter rental and even how to kill bed bugs, On Site Energy provides a lot more services, including that bright arrow board I just mentioned. Healthy Solutions: Heat Kills Bed Bugs

Did you know that heat kills bed bugs? You do not need to use heavy pesticides to rid yourself of an infestation. If you have a heater that can reach temperatures of 113 degrees Fahrenheit or higher then you can eliminate the problem and fairly quickly. Adult and nymph bed bugs can only survive for about 15 minutes in temperatures over 113 degrees. Eggs can last longer due to natural protection, but they, too will die after about 60 minutes.  Bed bugs prefer temperatures between 68 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. They’re nocturnal and hard to remove from furniture.
