shelter rentalBack in August I was fortunate enough to win a contest to be an extra in a music video for one of my favorite bands. It was quite an experience, but it could have been even better if the crew was better prepared. It was not only a warm evening as we sat outside for several hours, it was well over 100° inside a warehouse where the video was actually shot. I watched as an air conditioner unit was brought into the set and then less than an hour later brought back out.

Attempting to rock out to a song when you feel like you’re going to pass out from the heat just isn’t safe. Needless to say, there were hot, unhappy fans doing their best to give the band their all. It could have easily turned into a dangerous situation and that is why you need to rent heater and A/C units from reliable companies. The last thing you want is a rental breaking within the hour, either causing people to freeze or to pass out from heat exhaustion. The crew, the actors, or whoever is on set, they are relying on you for both their comfort and safety.

When you choose On Site Energy, you know you’re getting the best. Whether it be a rental heater, a utility shelter, or a mobile command center.

Keep Traffic Flowing with Arrow Boards

November 9th, 2011 | Posted by KristenM in Rentals - (0 Comments)

shelter rentalOh the dreaded site of an orange sign on the highway; it can only mean one thing…construction ahead! And we all know that means major delays because no one knows how to merge into another lane or people feel the need to rubberneck. It can be a real nuisance but construction is necessary so you don’t hit a giant pothole. At least warning signs can let you prepare ahead of time and, ideally, move traffic through the area a little bit quicker.

Although we’ve talked a lot about shelter rental and even how to kill bed bugs, On Site Energy provides a lot more services, including that bright arrow board I just mentioned. The panel size is 96” wide by 48” high, giving drivers are nice big warning sign that they’ll soon have to merge. The great aspect about this arrow board is that it is solar powered. There is no diesel generator required. It can operate on 12 volts DC but with the sun out, your workers can enjoy uninterrupted operation throughout the day. It’s twice as bright as others like it but uses 80% less energy. And don’t we all love doing what’s best for the environment?

Check out more details at On Site Energy’s website and find other great rental equipment for your needs.

Winter Weather Causes Tricky Situations

November 3rd, 2011 | Posted by MattC in Rentals | Shelter - (0 Comments)

Last winter the Northeast had suffered some pretty bad weather. We had feet of snow. Road blocks, power failures, car accidents, these problems are all unavoidable. And there are definitely places that got it worse than my neighborhood. Sure, people think, “Oh, summer is bad because of hurricane season,” but the truth is that dangerous conditions can occur in any season. Winter is by no means excluded, what with avalanches in the mountainous regions, railroad and building power grid failures, and snowstorms.

Should your town be hit by a storm or other problem you can have a disaster relief center deployed immediately upon request. Within 24 hours there should be a full mobile command center ready to tackle the neighborhood problems. These easy-to-pitch On Site energy rental tents are supplied with a PEACH unit so that you will get heat and energy as you work out a strategy to get your town back on its feet. It is a fully operation location to be used as a place for police, medical staff, and information technology services.

You can never be too safe. Should you need any other services like heaters for office buildings or schools, you can request those separately.  They come in different sizes to accommodate the space.

Should you think bed bugs may be on something you have with you, check it before entering. The only way to confirm they are there is by carefully inspecting each and every item. Heater Rentals and Utility Shelter Needs

September 19th, 2011 | Posted by MattC in Rentals - (0 Comments)

It never fails that at some inconvenient moment as the temperature sinks that an office building’s heater busts. It cannot be helped. Whether or not your building is old, the pipes and ventilation systems could just be in disrepair from the last cold spell. Until you get those fixed (which could take a considerable amount of time and money) you should have a backup plan for heating. Having to send out that dreaded mass email to the employees reminding them to dress warmly and to keep their coats on during the work day is just too traumatizing an experience for everyone.

Not having the proper heat in the building is a distraction and a hassle. In the cold weather employees are already at risk of catching colds and taking sick days. It is an unnecessary evil to heighten the risk because employees are not properly sheltered and warm. On Site Energy can restore heat to your building in temporary or emergency situations.  You can request a quote for one of their diesel or electric heaters for your building. Different heaters are sufficient for different spaces. If you need any assistance regarding what heater rentals you require, you should contact On Site Energy.

Those working outdoors in the cold can request a utility shelter complete with electricity and temperature control. This will make the job much more comfortable for all. The rentals can be deployed from any of the 3 branches in the New York Tri-state area.

It is not too early to start considering how you are going to handle a series of outdoor fall events. From festivals with food and music, to pumpkin picking, to traveling carnivals, this is the season for some really big events. An inflatable shelter and event equipment become key items in the set up and success of such events. Their commercial use is quite common. Special events will require a special power distribution set-up so that every station in the layout is provided with electricity.

One of the biggest rentals to consider are the generators. If you plan on having food stands, you cannot let the supplies go bad. Generators will keep refrigerators operating, as well as any cooking equipment. Could you imagine going to a Fall festival where the funnel cake and cotton candy machines weren’t working? It is practically devastating! Having a proper electric set-up is crucial to sustaining order for a large entertainment venue, even if it is temporary. Ask professionals like On Site Energy about the available generator rentals they have. Their staff can assist you so that you can find exactly the type of generator you need.

Special events are a specialty of On Site Energy. They have years of experience working with the industry and are more than prepared for the generator and equipment rentals you may need. Whether or not you need a mobile command center or just tons of generators for your extravaganza, On Site Energy is here to provide you with top quality rentals.

Heater rentals? It’s not even cold! Well, it’s September, folks. Soon enough you’ll be picking pumpkins, buying cardigans, and making some hot cocoa. The seasons aren’t nearly as subtle as they used to be. They like to make big entrances nowadays. It could be 85 degrees and sunny one day and the very next day, 55 and breezy. Mother Nature finds surprises fascinating.

You never know when the windy days will cut out power lines, nor can you predict when the snowfall will start. You think you know what to expect because the weatherman babbled for 5 minutes about wind patterns but you know whatever was said is somehow inaccurate. So, why take a chance. Get emergency heaters for your building. On Site Energy has electric and oil heaters from which you can choose the best fit for your needs.

If you run any of those Fall Festivals, you might consider renting a mobile command center. You need a base of operations for visitors. You can use these to host food competitions, information booths, and family-based activities. There needs to be someplace to go that’s out of the cold and comfortable. They’re useful for any number of reasons. You may want to rent one inflatable shelter (maybe two if you have a lot of space to cover) to keep food products, craft work, and other goods out of bad weather.
